The Home Improvement Center has always provided outstanding wages and benefits for the retail industry. We genuinely care about our staff and do our best to provide a full package of benefits. Our salary for F/T retail Sales Associate positions is $15 depending on experience and for P/T positions it is $14 depending on experience. Merchandise Stockers start at $11 an hour. F/T employees are eligible for HMO Health Care Coverage (we pay 75% of the premium), $1320 in yearly Dental Coverage at 100%, Section 125 deductions for uncovered medical and child care expenses, employer sponsored life insurance, a 401k plan with employer match (up to $3,000 yearly), an employee discount amounting to cost-plus only 10%, and paid vacation, holiday & sick time. P/T employees are eligible for the employee discount and paid vacation, holiday & sick time, as well as, the 401k plan if they work at least 20 hours weekly.
In order to maintain a safe and drug free work environment, all newly hired employees are required to take and pass a drug and alcohol test.
Most starting positions require working both Saturdays and Sundays with two contiguous days off during the week. Newly hired employees may also expect to receive several closing shifts. Store Hours are: 7:45-7:00 M-F, 8:00-6:00 Sat., & 8:30-5:30 Sun.

Casual Living Sales Associate
In this fun Department you’ll work with Gift items, Kitchen Supplies, Bath Items, and Patio & BBQ supplies. Lots of variety will keep you learning all of the time. Job responsibilities include: assisting customers, assembling barbeques & patio furniture, stocking merchandise, Department maintenance, and other miscellaneous tasks assigned to you by your Department Manager.
